Recruiting Board Members

East Belfast Community Development Agency (EBCDA) appoints the Community Representatives to the Board of EastSide Partnership and these places are now due for renewal.  There are eight places for community representatives on the Partnership Board in addition to Independent Reps, Political reps and Statutory Reps.

At the formation of the Partnership in June 1995, Making Belfast Work selected eight people from across the community sector in East Belfast to become Board members.  EBCDA introduced an application process in 2000 and this was renewed in 2006.

During the intervening years there have been several changes in community representation, people moving to new jobs, out of the area or no longer being able to be a representatives and EBCDA has been responsible for selecting these new Board members. EBCDA would now like to renew the process and recruit community representatives to join the Board of EastSide Partnership. The process, offers a robust framework for ensuring the best possible representation for the community sector on the Partnership Board.

The breakdown of how these places are filled is detailed below:
a)  1 place for Chair of EBCDA
b)  1 place for Executive Director of EBCDA
c)  1 person from Inner East Neighbourhood Partnership
d)  1 person from Tullycarnet Neighbourhood Partnership
e)  4 places to be filled by a selection process from the wider sector in East Belfast

The Neighbourhood Partnership positions will be selected by the respective committees for each area.

If you are interested in applying for one of the four positions please contact Jean at jean@ebcda.org or phone 9045 1512 for an application pack. If EBCDA receive more applications than positions available, we will establish an interview process and you will be notified of this.

The closing date for return of application is 3.00pm on Friday 10 February 2017.
