Newtownards Road

The Newtownards Road is the stretch of road from Holywood Arches to Bridge End. It is a busy thoroughfare from east Belfast to the city centre which has the potential to be a thriving gateway and a destination in its own right.

In order to understand the future potential of the Newtownards Road, EastSide Partnership appointed The Paul Hogarth Company to create an ambitious development plan for the Newtownards Road with input from local residents, businesses and other stakeholders. It is hoped that the plan, once developed, will help attract potential investors, developers, businesses, and residents to the Newtownards Road.

Your Vision for the Newtownards Road

The new development plan will use co-design and creative principles to reimagine the potential for the Newtownards Road to act as a catalyst for its regeneration. We want it to be a place where people want to live, work, enjoy and invest.

The Newtownards Road is a busy thoroughfare from east Belfast to the city centre which has the potential to be a thriving gateway and a destination in its own right. Building on the success of nearby recent developments such as C.S. Lewis Square, Connswater Community Greenway, Skainos, Portview and Templemore Baths the potential is immense.

What is YOUR VISION for the Newtownards Road?

We want to hear from local people and businesses to find out what Your Vision is for the Newtownards Road!
